Stress has now become the hallmark of societies challenges. Can humans stop working so hard to cope with or mask stress, and simply alleviate the symptoms of stress all together? Scientifically we know that stress creates disease and makes the brain highly sensitive to increases in stress and inflammation.
Additionally, life’s challenges, unresolved events emotional upheaval and trauma gets locked in the body. This 0ften results in anxiety or depression, unexplained pain and disease.

What we already know:
High functioning people with chronic stress may not even recognize they are stressed – because they are so used to it. We know that most coping mechanisms only mask stress. And in fact, exercise and sport actually create more stress on the body. Why? People who are engaged in extreme fitness or competitive sports on a regular basis have bodies that create high levels of serotonin (aka runner’s high). These high serotonin levels cover up underlying stress and create a different kind of stress on the body. When you are in constant stress, you cannot read your body, which means that underlying symptoms of illness may go unchecked.
The big question is: can we change the body’s response to stress entirely through different means? Can we stop adapting to stress and instead create a way of being where stress is no longer a factor?
